BSOD, A Blue screen on Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2 at startup
2 PC with 1 new Hard disk IBM / Hitachi 80GB motherboards 1 PCCHIPS M909g and an Asrock K7vm3
The problem is caused by an incompatibility with IDE devices (like CDROM) and Hitachi HDD so far. (Also reported with a Maxtor)
I had read lots of post in forums and Microsoft's KB articles without be able to find out anything. Hope this can help you.
Some people report this issue just when update Win XP to SP2
Solutions:
- Replace the ribbon
- Slow UDMA, Setttings from the BIOS.
- Try using another OS
- Replace the HDD or Mother, with another different model.
